Official Event Website

The runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend is one of the most beloved women's-focused running events in the country. Held annually at Walt Disney World in late winter, the weekend features a 5K, 10K, and half marathon (plus the Glass Slipper Challenge combining the 10K and half). Runners take on the courses dressed as their favorite Disney princesses and finish with medals fit for royalty.

Parkside Retreat is built for the mom-and-daughter groups, running clubs, and multi-generational families that make Princess Weekend so special. Our 6-bedroom home sleeps up to 14 — enough space for the runner, the cheering section, and the little ones tagging along for a Disney vacation. Recover in the private pool between races, prep costumes and race dinners in the full kitchen, and unwind together in the game room. We're just 10 minutes from Walt Disney World, close enough for the 5 AM race starts, with far more space than any resort hotel could offer.

Event Questions

Frequently asked

The 2027 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend runs February 25 – March 1, 2027. The weekend includes a 5K, 10K, and half marathon, plus the Glass Slipper Challenge (10K + half) for runners who tackle both.
Parkside Retreat is a 6-bedroom vacation rental in Kissimmee, just 10 minutes from Walt Disney World. It sleeps up to 14 — perfect for the mom-and-daughter groups, running clubs, and multi-generational family groups this race is famous for. You'll save significantly vs. Disney resort hotels while getting a private pool, full kitchen, and space for everyone.
Yes. Late February at Walt Disney World is generally warm and pleasant, with crowd levels moderate compared to spring break peak. Non-running family members can enjoy the parks while the runner rests, and the whole group can celebrate together at Magic Kingdom or Disney Springs after race day.
For groups, absolutely. The Princess weekend attracts large friend and family groups, and a 6-bedroom home costs less per night than two or three Disney resort rooms. You get a private pool for recovery, a full kitchen for pre-race dinners, laundry facilities, and space for costume prep and race-morning coordination.
Book early. Princess Weekend sells out and lodging inventory tightens 6+ months out — larger group homes like Parkside Retreat book earliest, especially for the Saturday and Sunday race nights.
